I was able to take these Thailand images during my around-the-world trip in 2013. Coming from Angkor Wat in Cambodia I flew to Thailand before continuing to Taiwan. Although I only had two days in Bangkok, I was able to snap some beautiful Thailand images during my time here. Make sure to have a good camera when you go here as there are awesome photo opportunities – check out my guide for the best travel camera for some help!
I stayed at the Chatrium Hotel Riverside which is a very ice Apartment Hotel with lots of space and a great breakfast. With the water taxi of the hotel you will get to Saphan Taksin Skytrain station. This allows you to explore the city by Skytrain (which is cheap, modern and clean) or ferry boat (which is cheap, shaky but efficient). With the ferry boat you can access all major tourist sites. I started out visiting the Grand Royal Palace whose detailed architecture offers a great setting for Thailand images. Nearby you will find Wat Pho, the big golden reclining buddha. Afterwards, take the ferry boat (not the tourist boat!) to Wat Arun. Climb up the stairs (very steep!) to enjoy the river panorama. Make sure to drink enough water during hot days at the temples and palaces! Afterwards, check out all the hotspots around Sukhumvit Road. If you’re lucky enough to be in Bangkok during the weekend, check out Chatuchak weekend market. Although it’s quite a ride with BTS Skytrain (Mo Chit Station), it is well worth it.
