These Rio de Janeiro Photos have been taken during a trip to Brazil I took in 2012. I was able to get a cheap flight with Alitalia to Brazil. After first stops in Luxembourg and Rome I arrived in Rio for three days vacation. After getting to the hotel from the airport, we headed for the Copacabana beach and took some typical Rio de Janeiro Photos. You can’t imagine how awesome this is after several longer flights! Add a fresh coconut from one of the beach vendors and you’re set. After an afternoon at the beach we grabbed some beers at the Cobacabana and called it a day.
The next day we took the bus to Corcovado and climbed up the Cristo Redentor statue to take the most famous Rio de Janeiro Photos. You get a great view over the city and the Maracana stadium, and of course the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. For the evening I headed on top of Sugarloaf Mountain (Pao de Acucar) to take some great sunset Rio de Janeiro Photos that you see below. After another beach day we had to head home again, but the time in Rio has been fantastic!
