I’ve taken these Natural Bridges Photos when I crossed the USA coast-to-coast back in 2011. I was on my way from Page to Moab, where I visited Arches National Park – how fitting. Arriving at this National Monument, there are various viewing platforms. On these, you have the perfect chance to take some great Natural Bridges Photos as a start into the day. But: the best thing is to actually hike down the valley to see these natural bridges up close! Early in the day I took off to the (kinda long) descent into the valley. It was a very hot day back then, so the hike was kinda strenuous. It leads over great sandstone passages, flat areas, ladders and ropes made of steel way down below to the valley. I took the hike to Sipapu Bridge – but there are also hikes to Kachina Bridge and Owachomo Bridge with Sipapu being the biggest of them.
Once your down in the valley you’ll experience the calmness of a hot area with still some vegetation going on. There even was a small lake when we came down, and only a very small number of fellow hikers crossed our way. When you’re down there, this is an ideal spot to take great Natural Bridges Photos from below the bridges. These turned out to be great in the hot mid-day sun – but be sure to take lots of water and some basic food with you! As the descent is always easier than the way back when hiking, don’t underestimate the impact of the sun and dehydration on your body. But never the less – enjoy your time at this great national monument and take some awesome National Bridges Photos as well!
