These Guadeloupe Photos were taken on my recent trip to the Caribbean Sea. I flew to St. Maarten with Delta and continued directly to Guadeloupe for three days with Air Antilles Express. They have a beautiful livery that really shows the Caribbean lifestyle! Once there you should get a rental car as it’s inexpensive and a great way to explore the island. It also allows you to explore Guadeloupe National Park, which is a real gem in the rainforest! There are many different hiking trails that take you to beautiful waterfalls or rainforest pools. Afterwards you should proceed to the town of Basseterre and also enjoy the view from Fort Vieux. The capital of Guadeloupe, Point-a-Pitre, is also worth a visit. You should head to the main square and take some typical Guadeloupe photos of all the old colonial buildings. If you’re in the mood for a swim in the ocean, I highly recommend Plage Bois Jolan.
Where to take the best Guadeloupe Photos?
The best opportunities to take beautiful Photos of Guadeloupe are in the rainforest. There are many short hiking trails that lead to great sights like waterfalls or huge rainforest trees. If your drive along the coast of the Eastern part of the island you will find many great cliffs to photograph. Head out to the “Pointe des Chateux” in the far east and to the northern coastlines near Anse Bertrand. Sunsets are especially beautiful to photograph in Guadeloupe: check out different beaches and find the one that gives you the best motives!
